What I need to do to keep healthy? A 12 step guide!

Hi Team

It's been a couple of weeks since my last blog post due to a little sickness and life, you know even gets in the way of writing a quick blog post!

I was thinking about what is needed to keep healthy and what are the musts in keeping fit and healthy.

What are the things we need to do to keep our phsycial and mental health .... well healthy?

What are the givens? or the must dos?

  1. Brush your teeth everyday - this is a given.

  2. Wash and clean your body every day - this is a given.

  3. Eat more fruits and veggies - this is a given.

  4. Eat more proteins - this is a given.

  5. Walk 20 - 40 mins a day - this is a given.

  6. Get 6 - 8 hours of a sleep a day - this is a given.

  7. Spend more time doing hobbies - this is a given.

  8. Spend more time with people that you like and that make you laugh - this is a given.

  9. Spend time by yourself - this is a given.

These are the givens, the must dos, if you want a healthy life.

Add the following for the extra ooomph!

  1. Lift weights 3 times a week - for toned muscle, strength, and stronger bones

  2. Get out of breath for at least 15 mins twice a week - to help your heart and lungs

  3. Read more or listen to audiobooks more.

You can't get better than that list. I'm telling you. Forget what you read and see on social media and just to those 12 things consistently and you can thank me later!

What are your workouts?

The Saturday Morning Bootcamp is going so well and I'm so proud of the team, I push them to their limits every week and boom they take it all in their stride!

People are commenting that they feel fitter, stronger and shaving time off their runs and bike rides! It is a great atmosphere and a great supportive team every week so come on down if you haven't had a try it! All I ask is that you do YOUR best and leave your ego at the door!

I have some PDFS as downloads now, just to help with nutrition and workout programmes for people who have access to weights or a gym.

They a £5 a pop just a little extra to help those that want it and some of my wisdom in PDF format!

What Are You Listening to?

I went to see the Boss, Bruce Springsteen in Manchester this week. I love this guy and his music so much.

His songs about life and the ups and downs is magical and he plays for 3 hours straight full of life and energy! Not bad for a 75 Year old! - that is the goal! To be as vibrant and energized at that age and for longer!

Here he is playing "Glory Days"
