Hi Team
How are you all? I have been away for a couple of weeks down in St Ives and Bude. There is something about being on a beach no matter where you are in the world when it is sunny that is the best.
My Mum has lived in Bude for 15 years and this holiday was the first time we were able to actually experience what the beach was like when it hot and sunny. Every year we have been no matter, summer or spring it has rained every time we have visited!
So it was great to be able to the beach and after a week in St Ives too, the kids are now body boarding and climbing rocks higher and higher that makes me want to have a heart attack.
We also went crabbing everyday and went seal sighting and sea fishing too. (my son is obsessed with fishing, and annoyingly he is better at it than me! He is only 5.)
Anyway, being on the beach reminded me of why I started getting into fitness and trying to become stronger.
The Whole Happy Health Origin Story:-
Once upon a time, I was at university and in 2006 the James Bond film 'Casino Royale' came out and yes it was awesome and I loved it as a big James Bond fan it hit everything Bond is. (Although Sean Connery is still the best Bond.) I didn't think much about it.
Then in 2011, I rewatched the film and me being young and stupid. I thought....
"Hmmm, I'm blondish haired and blue eyed.... Just like James Bond in Casio Royale.... But why the hell don't I have the same physique?"

Then I thought....
"I don't workout or go to the gym."
Some people call that an epiphany!
I then started doing that workout that everybody was doing on DVD, INSANITY.
That was a great cardio workout but it wasn't what I was after I wanted to become strong and fit so did beachbody's other best selling workout programme. P90X.
That was it, that programme changed everything for me and got me hooked into all sorts of ways of weight lifting and cardio work.
This is where most people would post a topless photo of themselves but as I have hit my forties and have kids now. I don't think it's necessary and most of you know me and see that I have changed since that phone in 2006! I am now fitter and healthier at 40 than I was in my 20s.
The more books I read the more I adapted what worked for me and started training others who got fantastic results as well.
This is when I got my qualifications and started training people one one one and conducting fitness classes.
My own philosophy's in weight lifting have changed slightly since doing P90X. But the principles are the same.
Make sure you challenge yourself and show up every workout and give it your all.
That is why for a Whole Happy Healthy lifestyle you need to:-
Show up
Be consistent
Eat well
Do your best
This all started with that photo of Daniel Craig walking on the beach in Casino Royale and the fact I had blue eyes like him....
Funny how the small things in life can make a big impact.
