Hi Team
The weather was horrendous this week and as you know my gym and weights are in my back garden and does not have covering yet.... (it's on the list to do hopefully for 2026)
I kept checking the outside and my son said to me. "Daddy, why do you keep switching the back garden lights on and switching the off and looking outside?"
I said "Well, I wanted to do some exercises but it's very rainy so I don't think I can exercise"
"Daddy, you can still do exercises in the house. You don't need your weights. Just do some:-
Star Jumps
Running on the spot
Push ups
and some sit ups." He replied.
Well... How could I argue with that?
It's a pretty good workout covering cardio, core, strength in your shoulders, arms and pecs.
Damn it, out smarted by my 6 year son!
I have been with my better half for 14 years almost and this week she said to me,
"You eat so weirdly, why do you eat your veggies first? and then everything else?"
It was like the first time she had noticed!
Veggies and salads sometimes just don't taste great or aren't cooked well espcially at restaurants or cafes. But Veggies and salads have all teh good stuff. So for years if I have a meal I will eat the salad or veggies all first just to get them out of the way and then enjoy the rest of the meal at my own leisure.
The rule in the house is that the kids need to eat something healthly for a main meal and afterwards for lunch they can have some crisps or after dinner an ice cream of some treat.
"Healthy first, then you can have a treat" is often said in the house.
My 4 year old daughter is so funny with this as at lunch times as when I give her lunch with sandwiches and a portion of crisps she will always say.
"I eat ALL my sandwiches first then I will eat my crisps - because sandwiches are healthy!"
So to be fit and healthy just take the advice from the kids!
You don't need the fancy things to do exercise.
Keep it simple and don't over think it.
You can have treats! but only after eating the healthy stuff first!
basically...
Show up
Eat well
Be consistent
Do your best
What are your workouts?
I am still doing Chiselled Armour and phase 2 of the workout programme is probably the best strength and muscle building workout that I have created.
3 days a week of weight work 30 mins maximum of working out per session!
More than awesome!
Saturday Morning Bootcamp
Another great bootcamp with 18 people kicking ass at last Saturdays Bootcamp!
Only 2 more left for 2025 and so lets finish it strong and ready for the Christmas food and New Years parties! Invite your friends, family members and lets see if we can get the team to 20 before the end of the year! .... Maybe even invite someone you don't like to go through the pain! :P

5 person Easy Strength for Fat Loss Group
I am looking to start a personalised 5 person training group in Febuary next year.
This group will be held 3 days a week, doing a 20 min strength weight lifting workout followed by a short walk for 4 weeks.
This group is about building the right habits for toned strong muscles and fat loss.
