Do you want to change really?.... I can see it in your eyes.

Hi team
This week has been an interesting one, stressful at work and some things in the personal life that just got a little busy.
So I had a day off work and went fishing all alone and just sat with nature and tried to catch some fish.... a couple of hours went by and I finally caught one and then it broke my fishing line and escaped! So stressful but you can't catch them all and it's exactly what I needed.
I then went fishing with my son and we spent two hours on the bank... we didn't catch a thing but he was so patient and he was just chatting away with me about, well.. life. It was so nice and that innate feeling of this is what fathers and sons should be doing.
I had some conversations about health and fitness with some people and it's amazing that we live in an age where, even with facts and science staring them in their face, they are still willing to believe people on social media or someone with a title in front of their name.
I can always tell during a conversation that if the person is going to take my advice or have asked for it and soon realise they don't like the answer so their eyes show me that they won't try to even try to take the advice.
I would say 99% of my health and fitness advice that is asked for during a conversation with someone is never taken.
Which is fine, people have different priorities, lifestyles and commitments but it always comes down to something has to change.
And if the pain of being where you aren't isn't painful enough for someone to make that change.
It will never become a priority.
That is why I'm so impressed with people who show up at my bootcamp on Saturday at 8am. The people who have made the change and have made it a habit has made a difference with their appearance.
I see people now that have lost body fat, muscles popping and people's confidence in themselves shining through!
That is why you have to:-
Show up
Eat well
Be consistent
Do your best.
What is your workout?
I have decided that I going to go back to where my fitness journey began and the programme that changed my habits and my whole way of looking at the world.
Back in the day, there were these things called DVD's (they were like Netflix but on a CD..... a CD was a bit like Spotify but in physical form) and some DVDS would have exercises that you would follow along with.... I bit like Jane Fonda's exercise videos (videos were like DVDS but for the 1980s and 1990s)
So the DVD's that I tried were called P90X - it is a 90 day programme full of pull ups and pushups, weight training, yoga and cardio. It was challenging and a massive change to the 1980s videos I saw my mum doing.
It really changed by body when I was 24. So years later its time to see what I can do with it!
I will be doing it and still mixing it in with my own strength programmes.
Wish me luck!
What are you listening to?
Chris
